Guitar Hero - Aerosmith

Het is niet de eerste keer dat er een videogame van Aerosmith op de markt komt. Wij herinneren ons levendig de arcadekast (later ook op PSX en Sega Saturn verschenen) waar je met Uzi's baddies moest neerknallen in Revolution X. Een banale titel waar je je vijanden met cd'tjes bestookte. Niemand wilt zich dat nog langer herinneren dus is het tijd voor een nieuw game rond deze populaire band met hits als Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion en Love in an Elevator. Wat is er meer geschikt dan een virtuele herintroductie via Guitar Hero?

De muziekgroep uit Boston is niet als enige vertegenwoordigd in deze Guitar Hero spin-off. Nummers van Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, The Kinks, The Clash vinden ook hun intrede. Bovendien zijn de geruchten over nummers van topartiesten als Lenny Kravitz, Run DMC, Stone Temple Pilots, Deep Purple en The White Stripes waar. Het uiteindelijk percentage Aerosmith nummers ligt op 60% terwijl de andere 40% door nieuwe artiesten of classic rock bands ingevuld is. Aerosmith heeft wel invloed gehad op de keuze van deze aanvullende nummers. Aerosmith is geïnspireerd door of vindt het gewoon steengoede nummers. De totale tracklist is uiteindelijk op 39 nummers gestrand.
